Bravo!

Superb! Stupendous! Fabulous! Extreme Fun! Not enough superlatives can describe a well-organized festival that brought the diversity and range of American poetry to Connecticut audiences!

- Tom Nicotera

Deep thanks for making this festival happen. Just when it seemed no one would ever read again, you've gathered the tribe and let the joy loose.

 - Wendy Battin

[A] real grassroots celebration of poetry in all its diversity. [Those] involved in this event have done it without university or foundation backing, and shown that it can be done. Thanks to them, and thanks to the venues that supported poetry by making themselves available. I can't wait till next year!

- Tad Richards

I loved the festival and was honored to be a part of it. I came out of it exhausted, exhilarated, and wonderfully humbled.

- Pat Hale

The series is a substantial addition to the summer poetry scene of our area.  I wish you many years.

 - Marilyn Johnston

My guess is you don't much like poetry if you didn't find something to like among the poems presented by a wide and diverse number of poets: older poets, younger poets, experienced poets, new poets, poets of color, poets of various sexual orientations. ... The organizers are already at work on putting next year's Festival together. For my money, it can't come soon enough.

- Bob Berner

... As a lifelong resident of Connecticut, a lifelong lover of poetry, and a writer of poetry for more than 30 years, it has been my great privilege to take part in this wonderful new annual event. The poetry was exciting, moving, inspiring, and playful. The audience was plentiful and embracing. ...  You make me proud to be a Connecticut poet! I can't wait until next year!

- Eileen Albrizio

more fun than the state speed limit allows

- George Wallace

Last night's was a rollicking tour of poetry, poets and poems that made us laugh, cry and marvel at the expanding boundaries of poetry. It was an eye-opener, to use a cliche. ... Everyone is friendly, caring and enthusiastic.

- Emerson Gilmore

For Outlaw Poetry Night

... [A]n explosion of mayhem, insanity and danger...Words used like weapons; standing, breathing, drinking, stumbling living ARTWORK. I loved every minute

- Hank Beukema
