Ye Olde Renaissance Woman
September 21, 2010
Ye
Olde Renaissance Woman rises from the ashes of Ye Olde Font Shoppe. We are no longer publishing small press poetry books but if you're looking to do
that email me and I'll recommend a new publisher. However,
I moved to Tennessee and have decided to freelance the many skills I have
accumulated over my years as a computer programmer, teacher, martial artist, crafter,
and poet.
Come back and see what I may have to offer you!

Moved to Tennessee
August 02, 2010
After
fifteen years in Connecticut, my itchy feet told me it was time to move south
again. The background picture at the top of the page and the pictures in these
sidebar items are views from my street. I think I'll stay for awhile. At least
another 15 years.
Victoria of Many Trades
At some point in history a person who was proficient in the diverse activities that make up my life and careers would have been called a Renaissance Man. I may have been called that too, had I lived in the Renaissance, and had been, well, a man.
This page is an overview of my eclectic skills with links to the particular areas you may find interesting.
Web Services
With over two decades of computer programming experience and extensive graphic experience, I have helped several small businesses set up websites using templates from i3dTHEMES.com. This site was created using one. I also maintain sites when requested.
Math Tutoring
through Wyzant.com
Certified to teach Mathematics, grades 7-12 in both Tennessee and Connecticut, my specialities are Geometry, Algebra and Middle School Math. I have worked with all levels of students including inclusion classes in Geometry.
Greeneville
Tang Soo Do
With over twenty-five years experience, I hold second degree black belts in three organizations and apprentice black in another. As well as teaching children's and adult classes, I have coached a demo team and competed on tournament circuits in Texas and New England. Along with my son, first degree black belt William Etter, we are in the process of setting up weekly classes in the Greenville, Tennessee area. More coming SOON.
Victoria's
Crotchet
Crotchet: [kroch-it] -- noun - an odd fancy or whimsical notion.
Come find my booth at craft fairs in the East Tennessee area! Crocheted snowflakes to hang on the Christmas tree. Barbie and Ken costumes. Dragons and Kitties and Penguins, oh my! I hope to have items for sale both here and on eBay soon.
Poetry
Performance
poet, serious paper poet and custom poetry. Like most poets, I will
perform for free, write for a pittance. My poems have been published in
many journals and two anthologies. I have performed around Connecticut
and New York for over a decade. Since moving to Tennessee August 2010, I
have been trying to prevent myself from becoming a hermit by traveling to
Poetry Slam Asheville, NC
as often as possible.
And I can write a poem about anything you suggest (even socks.) Want a poem for a special person or holiday?
